Tulip season is a great season! I’ve been photographing at the Wicked Tulips Farm for the last five years across each of their locations. This is a family owned, U-Pick farm first and foremost, and they are kind enough to allow me to collaborate with them and hold photo sessions there. It is such a great experience working closely with the Wicked Tulip staff and assisting them in developing new opportunities for their guests. Last spring, in addition to scheduled sessions, we implemented an On-Site Photography option for visitors who wanted to have a photographer take 1 or more pictures of them in the fields. This service was really well received and I’m looking forward to providing it again this year.

Due to the nature of the setting, a lot of planning and preparation goes into the Wicked Tulip Flower Farm photography sessions. Scheduling factors such as weather, planning for when the fields will come into bloom and how long they will last (before dying and before being picked too thin for high quality photos) and managing large amounts of visitors in the background are all taken into consideration. Because of this, session fees include photoshopping services to remove the crowds.
