Love Takes a Hike: A Mountaintop Autumn Wedding in Holderness, New Hampshire

As a wedding photographer, I’m always drawn to couples who share a love for adventure. But Jeffrey and Michelle took it to a whole new level with their autumn mountaintop wedding in Holderness, New Hampshire. Forget the traditional ceremony hall – these lovebirds said “I do” amidst breathtaking panoramic views, after a challenging (but totally worth it) hike to the summit!

The day began with capturing the excitement and anticipation as Jeffrey and Michelle prepped for their big adventure. The crisp autumn air was alive with the vibrant hues of changing leaves – a stunning backdrop for their pre-wedding jitters and pure joy. We then documented their hike up the mountain, their loyal dog trotting along by their side. The crisp mountain air, the camaraderie between friends and family, and the stunning scenery splashed with fall colors all made for a truly unforgettable experience.

Reaching the summit was a moment of pure triumph. But what awaited them next was even more incredible. As if on cue, the morning mist gave way to a breathtaking vista of sparkling lakes and majestic mountains, ablaze with the fiery colors of autumn. It was the perfect backdrop for their intimate ceremony, a moment of love and commitment witnessed by their closest loved ones.

Of course, no mountaintop wedding is complete without a few unexpected moments. In the middle of the ceremony, Michelle and Jeffrey’s dog, clearly exhausted from the hike but determined to be part of the celebration, decided to take a well-timed nap right in the middle of the ceremony!

After the ceremony, I captured some stunning portraits of the newlyweds against the breathtaking backdrop.

The celebration continued later that evening at the couple’s cozy Airbnb. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, laughter, and heartfelt toasts as friends and family celebrated the start of Jeffrey and Michelle’s new chapter together.
