As a Newport, RI wedding photographer, I’ve photographed at many of the city’s iconic venues—but the International Tennis Hall of Fame truly stands out. Tucked in the heart of Newport, this venue offers something unique: open-air elegance, classic charm, and a layout unlike any other. When paired with crisp fall weather, golden light, and a couple who are totally present and relaxed, you get magic.
And this wedding? It was all that and more.
A First Look Along Ocean Avenue
We started the day with a romantic first look along Ocean Drive, a Newport favorite for its rugged coastline and windswept views. The sun was shining, the ocean sparkled, and the couple shared the kind of quiet, emotional moment that makes first looks so worth it. The cliffs with the crashing waves in the background made for a breathtaking setting—perfect for capturing those just-before-the-ceremony nerves and joy.

That Vintage Car? A Dream.
Let’s talk about one of the coolest details of the day: the vintage car. It was on loan from the groom’s father. It added so much style and personality to their photos and quickly became one of my favorite elements to photograph. We used it as a backdrop, a prop, and even snuck in a few shots of the couple driving along Ocean Drive, taking a quiet moment together before the ceremony. It was a total showstopper and elevated the entire visual story of the day.

Ceremony & Reception at the Tennis Hall of Fame
The International Tennis Hall of Fame brings something special to a Newport wedding. The open courtyard, historic grandstands, and lush lawn give it a distinctive look that photographs beautifully in the fall. The ceremony felt intimate yet grand, surrounded by architecture and history, with guests soaking in the sunshine and cool September air.

When it came time to party, the indoor reception space transformed with warm lighting, soft decor, and a packed dance floor. And while the dance space at the Hall of Fame can be a bit tight with lower lighting, that’s where experience matters. I’ve developed the skills (and brought the gear) to handle even the most challenging lighting conditions.
Published in Newport Life Magazine
This wedding was so special, it caught the eye of Newport Life Magazine, where it was later published. Having this day featured in a publication that celebrates all things Newport was the perfect testament to how stunning, stylish, and full of heart this celebration truly was.

A Wedding Full of Heart
From start to finish, this day was full of love, energy, and connection. The couple were completely present—soaking in every moment, never rushed, and totally grounded in each other. Their wedding party? Absolute legends. From the laughter during getting ready to the epic moves on the dance floor, they brought the energy and joy all day long.
